DESCRIPTION

Through generative learning we will explore successful ideas implemented that solve common event problems or improve the ease of planning and launching REMARKABLE events.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify Innovative Solutions: Participants will learn to identify and implement innovative solutions ("hacks") to common event management challenges, enhancing their ability to deliver seamless and memorable events.
  2. Optimize Event Planning Processes: Attendees will gain practical strategies for optimizing event planning processes, including resource management, attendee engagement, and logistical coordination, leading to increased efficiency and reduced costs.
  3. Leverage Technology and Trends: Professionals will understand how to leverage the latest technology and industry trends to overcome specific event-related obstacles, improving overall event execution and attendee satisfaction.

Speaker Bios: 

  • Teresa Taylor: Currently the Executive Officer of the Washington Council of Police & Sheriffs. I've been in non profit trade association work since 2006, but have worked in public policy and government affairs since 1990. I enjoy association management because it taps all my business, communications, writing, and negotiations skills. Each day is interesting and filled with opportunity to make a difference. 
     
  • Tiina Freeman, CAE: Tiina Freeman is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with over two decades of experience in association management and communications. Since 1995, she has played a key role at the Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau, where her innovative thinking and strategic approach have been instrumental to the organization's success. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Relations, Tiina brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to her work. Known for her ability to ask touch question, question status quo and generate fresh ideas and her commitment to driving meaningful change, Tiina continues to make significant contributions to the industry, inspiring others with her forward-thinking mindset and dedication to excellence. Tiina is also a past president of WSAE and recipient of the Executive of the Year award in 2022.
     
  • Angela Strecker: With over 20 years of event management experience, Angela uses her trademark composure, skills of problem solving, creativity, and flexibility to help clients produce social and corporate events and meetings. She excels at logistics and operations, and her attention to detail means that events and meetings go smoothly from concept to completion. Angela and the staff at Blue Wings Events is experienced in all stages of the event logistics and strategy, from conception, RFP, planning, and managing through execution and post-event activities. You will find her strengths include communication, self-motivated, collaborative working style and relationship builder along with attention to details.
